Social media and communication devices are convenient and needed in our world today, but they can be extremely hazardous and a simple way to bully someone. It is important to understand the harmful consequences that can occur when we mis-use social media.
Young people are especially susceptible to the risks involved. Law enforcement uses social media as evidence in court.
*Never use social media for the following;
*Bully, harass, or tease others to intentionally hurt them.
*Chat about your neighborhood, gang, or any illegal activity.
*Make threats of any kind.
*Post photos of anything gang related, or anything involving guns, weapons, or violence.
*Post sexual comments or photos.
Scenario: Bruiser and Bandit
Bruiser and Bandit don’t get along. At training school they compete to get the female pup’s attention and engage in fierce rivalries trying to out-do one another.
After losing in a dog race at training school Bruiser reacted angrily and challenged Bandit to a dawg-fight on Facebook. He posted threatening words on Instagram and told Bandit he better be at the big tree after school or he’ll suffer the consequences!
