The LBLS Board continues to administer certification of specialists in the following areas
of specialization: Appellate Practice, Business Bankruptcy Law, Consumer Bankruptcy Law,
Employment Law, Estate Planning and Administration, Family Law, Health Law, Labor Law and
Tax Law.

As of January 1, 2024, 15 new specialists were certified as follows:

* Appellate Practice - One (1) new specialist has been certified

* BusinessBankruptcyLaw-One(l)newspecialisthasbeencertified

* Consumer Bankniptcy Law - No new specialists have been certified

* Employment Law - Two (2) new specialists have been certified

* Estate Planning and Administration - Three (3) new specialists have been certified

@ Family Law - Three (3) new specialists have been certified

* Health Law - Two (2) new specialists have been certified

* Labor Law - Two (2) specialists have been certified for the first time

* Tax Law - No new specialists have been certified

As of June 30, 2024, there were a total of 393 specialists: 348 Active Board-Certified

Specialists, 39 Senior Board-Certified Specialists, O Senior60 Board-Certified Specialists, 9
Inactive Board-Certified Specialists, 4 Senior/Inactive Board-Certified Specialists; and 0
Hardship/CLE Exempt Board-Certified Specialists. 27 Specialists were decertified in 2023 and
2024. 6 Specialists retired in 2023 and 2024. One Specialist passed away in 2023. The breakdown
is as follows:

Business Bankniptcy-17 active, 1 inactive

Consumer Bankruptcy-12 active
Employment Law-11 active
Estate Planning - 95 active, 11 senior, 0 senior60, 6 decertified, 1 retired
