NOMINEES’ BIOGRAPHIES:

             Betty A. Maury, Twenty Fourth Judicial District Court, Gretna, LA (Jefferson Parish, District 2)

             Ms. Maury is a law clerk to the Honorable Lee V. Faulkner, Jr. at the Twenty Fourth Judicial Court. She
             received her bachelor’s degree from Concordia University in Wisconsin and her J.D. degree from Loyola
             University New Orleans College of Law.

             Ms. Maury serves  as the District 2 Representative of the LSBA’s Young Lawyer Division (YLD)
             Council, co-chair of LSBA’s Wills for Heroes, and she is the Region  4 High School Mock Trial
             Competition Coordinator.

             In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Ms. Maury advocated for free Online CLE programs through
             the Jefferson Bar Association (JBA) for all members, not just JBA members. To accomplish this goal,
             Ms. Maury tirelessly researched and reviewed online CLE programs and recruited speakers.

             She is a recipient of the LSBA Outstanding Young Lawyer Award (2017), Gillis Long Poverty Law
             Center Public Service Award (2016), and the Outstanding Loyola Family Law Clinic Student by the
             New Orleans Association of Woman Attorneys (2013).


             Ms. Maury is married to her high school sweetheart Thomas, and they have two sons, Thomas III and
             Lucas.


             Henry C. “Hank” Perret, Jr., Perret Doise L.L.C., Lafayette, LA (Lafayette Parish, District 3)

             Mr. Perret is a founding partner of Perret Doise L.L.C. in Lafayette, LA. He earned his law degree from
             LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center.

             Mr. Perret has served as a member of the University of Louisiana at Lafayette Foundation Board of
             Trustees since 2014. He is also a founding member of Miles Perret Cancer Services (MPCS) which has
             helped over 12,000 families fighting and surviving cancer receive free services in Acadiana.


             Since 2001, Mr. Perret has served as a founding member of Games of Acadiana, a fundraiser dedicated
             to honoring cancer survivors and supporting the work of MPCS.

             Mr. Perret has also served on the boards of Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center, the Ascension
             Day School Board of Trustees and Our Lady of Fatima School Board.

             Mr. Perret is the recipient of the Lafayette Civic Cup Award, which honors individuals who have made
             significant contributions to their communities.
