Justice Community Collaboration
The work of these committees depends on the coordination and collaboration of justice and
community partners including but not limited to the following organizations:
In addition to these non-profit and governmental legal stakeholders, Access to Justice has worked
with non-legal partners such as libraries for more than a decade. Recognizing the benefits of cross-
collaboration through these partnerships, the ATJ Commission convened the first Access to Justice
Conclave in 2023 bringing together an expanded group of traditional and non-traditional partners
to strengthen those relationships. The first Conclave developed a set of strategic priorities. In April
2024, the furtherance of these priorities through education and outreach became the focus of the
second ATJ Conclave, Additionally, a newly created Community Outreach and Education
Committee is tasked with furthering the priorities resulting from each Conclave.
Continuum of Services
Each partner plays an integral role in delivering services to those in need of access to help and
the courts. As a leader in Access to Justice, the LSBA administers the Find Legal Help page on its
website, which includes a continuum of legal assistance from self-help to full representation. This
continuum guides much of the work of the committees and access to justice staff in making legal
information, resources, and help available to the public.
