Benchly proposes a negotiable 5% royalty to be paid on the 15 of every month to the LSBA. The royalty
consists of all sales associated with the LSBA for the previous 30-day period.

Since 2016, Benchly has offered a specific brief writing product that assists lawyers by creating tables of
authorities as the brief is being written, by creating hyperlinks to citations (required in Texas, optional in
Louisiana), and by checking authorities cited by the writing lawyer and the opponent for comparison and
accuracy. While Benchly can check cites, it does not provide broad legal research capability like
Westlaw, Lexis or Fastcase. Benchly is a simple tool that makes brief writing a little easier. It is not a
legal research tool like Westlaw, Lexis or Fastcase.

Benchly, based primarily in Texas, has a relationship with the Texas State Bar and various local bars in
Texas and Florida.
