o Pursuant to the Supreme Court’s Order issued April 28, 2020
as a result of COVID-19, updated member transcripts to allow
for up to 12.5 hours of online “self-study” credits for the
compliance period ending December 31, 2020.
o In accordance with the Supreme Court’s Order issued July 22,
2020, requiring Qualified Candidates to complete 25 CLE
hours, 12.5 of which must be ethics, professionalism, or law
office management, we are working with a software company to
update Qualified Candidates’ transcripts to allow for these
specific requirements.
o Software transition completed 7/1/19, with additional tweaks
being made as issues discovered
o Additional administrative staff member added 8/16/19
o Pursuant to the Supreme Court’s Order issued January 13,
2021 as a result of COVID-19, updated member transcripts to
allow for up to 12.5 hours of online “self-study” credits for the
compliance period ending December 31, 2021.
o In accordance with the Supreme Court’s Order issued January
13, 2021, excess hours earned in the 2019 compliance year to
be carried forward to compliance year 2020, 2021 or 2022.
o In accordance with the Supreme Court’s Order issued on April
27, 2021, amending the Order issued January 13, 2021 to
permit a maximum of four “self-study” credits to carry forward
into 2022.
▪ Continue the collection of mandatory licensing fees (dues and
disciplinary assessment) and the maintenance of the roll of attorneys
in accordance with Supreme Court Rule XIX;
Members who had not filed/paid by close of business on October 19
certified ineligible to practice law.
▪ Continue to administer the Plan of Legal Specialization which serves
the public by certifying as specialists attorneys who meet certain
criteria;

o Pursuant to the Supreme Court’s Order issued September 1, 2020 as
a result of COVID-19, updated specialist transcripts to allow for up to
18 hours of online “self-study” credits for the compliance period ending
December 31, 2020.
o Pursuant to the Supreme Court’s Order issued January 13, 2021, as a
result of COVID 19, the limitation of online “self-study” credits was
again increased to a maximum of 18 hours for purposes of completing
the certification requirements for the approved fields of law set forth in
the LSBA Plan of Legal Specialization.
