                   Rachael Mills, Staff Counsel
Recently Lagniappe Law Lab took over the administration of www.probono.net/la, with that
came a complete overhaul of the site and its contents. Pro Bono Subcommittee members were
instrumental in the site’s overhaul and assisted with the process. The new site has now launched
and features pro bono programs from across the state, their various programs and clinics, and
a library of resources for pro bono attorneys. Register with the site to see the updated features

                   Rachael Mills, Staff Counsel
This year’s ATJ Developing Leadership Intern program will begin on Monday, May 17th and
end after six weeks on Friday, June 25th. The program this year will host three interns, one
from LSU Paul M. Hebert Law Center, Southern University Law Center, and Tulane Law
School. Initially after losing two sponsors for the 2021 program the working group only
planned to host two students, but LSU came through to host a student for the program bringing
this year’s total to three students. The sponsors for the 2021 program include Entergy, LSU
Paul M. Hebert Law Center, and Phelps Dunbar, LLP.

The program is still seeking two additional sponsors for the 2022 year. The ATJ Developing
Leadership Intern Program is a unique experience for 1Ls, where students are sponsored by
firms/organizations and spend their time with numerous civil legal aid programs in Baton
Rouge and New Orleans. If your firm or organization is interested in becoming a sponsor for
the 2022 internship, please contact Rachael Mills, rachael.mills@lsba.org or 504-619-0104.

participating attorneys to increase access to legal services for disaster survivors. Of the six

designed to address the legal needs of disaster victims after the catastrophic flooding in Baton
Rouge in 2016. The inaugural class collectively provided more than 500 pro bono hours while
developing their solo and small law firms over an eighteen-month period. In addition to
