An expository paragraph or essay is a form of writing that aims
to inform, explain, or describe a specific topic to the reader. Unlike
persuasive or narrative writing, expository writing focuses on
presenting facts, providing detailed explanations, and supporting
the information with evidence. The primary purpose of an expository
essay is to convey information in a clear and logical manner without
including the writer’s personal opinions or biases. This type of writing
is essential in academic settings, as it helps students develop their
ability to communicate complex ideas effectively.
