Basically Media and information Literacy is interlinked with one another. Viz. Information literacy
is a huge umbrella and media literacy is one portion of that umbrella.

So simply media literacy is the ability to identify different types of media and understand the messages

which user are sending. Media is conveying different types of information each and every moment. There
are text messages, memes, viral videos, social media, advertising, and more by which we are getting false
information.

Media and information literacy is nothing but encircle the practices that allow people to access, critically

evaluate, and create or manipulate media information.

Most importantly, it’s helps peoples to become wiser consumers of media as well as responsible producers
of their own media. .If we think about in a larger context, media literacy also fosters the skills that help

people work together in collaboration because it encourages respectful discourse and builds digital
citizenship skills.

We are living in an era of information and technology. In our todays life media has become a part and
parcel of our life. Media keeps us up to date and connects us with the world. Now we are global

citizens; Covid-19 make us understood that. Media is giving us the global news in each seconds.
Although media is helping us in many ways, but we must need to adopt Media Literacy for becoming

one sensible digital citizen. Sometimes media tries to manipulate us by their fake and wrong
conception. They try to divert our mind. They try to make us think in their ways for their own profit
and fulfill their purpose. Media messages are sometime fully biased and spread disinformation to

people in a rapid way.

But by learning Media Literacy and Information literacy people will be able to distinguish between right
and wrong, people will have the power to identify between real and fake information. People will not
become a puppet of media, again media will not be able to fool them anymore. They will think in their
way without being biased. They will justify all pros and cons of every content which are showed by
media. Finally people will have the ability to make correct decision and understand everything in the right

way. People could be able to stick with the power of truth. We will able to resist the Disinfodemic by
knowing the media and information literacy.

So at the end we could say that,

For resisting Disinfodemic to know Media and Information Literacy is a must. In this 21 century every

person from every corner of the world ought to have the knowledge of Media and Information Literacy,
as it will help us to become one conscious digital citizen who can make the right choice at the right time.
Who will be able to aware about the terribleness of Disinfodemic and resist it from our beloved world

and fight with the power of truth against the outrageous Covid-19 (Corona Virus).
