Second Show, Fresh Arrangements, Fresh Cut Flowers; Wednesday, August 26th
Location Received: Harley Davidson Building Exhibits Released: Monday, Aug. 31, 3 - 8 p.m. American System of Judging
Floriculture exhibits are displayed in the Harley Davidson Building. Exhibits in the Floriculture Department must have been grown by the exhibitor within the area defined in Local Rule #7, except divisions for arrangements.
ARTISTIC DESIGN RULES:
1. Accessories or decorative foliage is permitted in the arrangement and will be furnished by the exhibitor. Accessories may not be placed around the arrangement. Every reasonable precaution will be taken to assure the safe return of these items; however, no responsibility is assumed for loss or damage. See Local Rule #1.
2. Accessories and vases should be marked with the name of the owner, but markings must not show when accessories are in place in the display.
3. All arrangements must be assembled by the exhibitor, not to exceed 24” square, no height restriction. Special size re- quirements for miniatures listed below or noted in description.
4. The use of artificial or dried flowers or foliage, tissue, or crepe paper will not be permitted except in dry flower arrange- ments where dry flowers are required.
5. Fresh flowers must be used in all arrangements. Flowers must be groomed (brown petals, dead leaves, water marks removed).

OPEN DRY ARRANGEMENT
CLASS:
1. Victorian – arrangements appropriate to or depicting the Victorian Era
2. Woodland Wonder - using wood or other material as the container
3. Western - miniature arrangement, not to exceed 5 in in any direction
4. Early American - using old implements from the past. 15 in x 24 in in size
5. Beach Party - anything from the sea, not to exceed 15 in x 24 in
6. Tea Time – Using a Tea Pot or Tea Cup as a container
DIVISION 2
OPEN SILK ARRANGEMENT CLASS:
1. Celebration -Arrangement using accessories and novelties to depict a celebration. Celebration must be named on a place card not to exceed 3in x 5in
2. Toy Land – Using toys as container or part of the arrangement
3. Literary Masterpiece – Use Book in Arrangement
4. Recycled Art – Using Recycled objects as container or part of the arrangement
5. Fair Theme – Using the Current Fair Theme
6. Chefs Special – Using kitchen objects as container or part of the arrangement
7. Storybook Land – Arrangement using accessories and novelties to depict a fairytale.
Fairytale must be named on a place card not to exceed 3in x 5in
