ARTISTIC DESIGN FLOWER ARRANGEMENT First Show Exhibits Received: Friday, Aug. 21st, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Exhibits Released Wednesday, Aug. 26th, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m.
CLASS:
1. Midway Magic – Make an arrangement featuring the games of the midway
2. High Style - Arrangement emphasizing the designer’s creativity in using floral and plant materials
3. Country Chic – Farm and Country themed arrangements not to exceed 15in x 24in
4. Made from Junk - Exhibitor’s discretion
5. Desert Beauty – Exhibitor’s choice of style & material depicting the desert environment
6. He Loves Me, He Loves Me Not – Arrangement using Daisy type flowers
7. Fair Theme – Using the current Fair Theme
DIVISION 4
ARTISTIC DESIGN FLOWER ARRANGEMENT Second Show Exhibits Received: Wednesday Aug. 26th, 9 a.m. - 1 p.m. Exhibits Released: Friday, Aug. 31st, 9 a.m. - 12 p.m.
CLASS:
1. Let’s Go to the Orient - arrangement with an Oriental flair
2. Fancy This – Using fancy bottles, jars, cans or boxes as containers or components
3. Sunset Memories – Using the colors of a sunset
4. Let’s Go Domestic - Using fruits, flowers and supporting materials
5. Queen for the Day – Design an arrangement depicting royalty
6. A Rose is A Rose – Arrangement using roses as the predominant flower
7. Fair Theme – Using the current Fair Theme
POTTED & HANGING PLANTS
Entry Fee: $2.00 per entry per class
Limit: Two (2) entries per class per exhibitor
Exhibits Received: Wednesday August 19th 4 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Location Received: Harley Davidson Building – Floriculture, FFA, and 4-H Building Exhibits Released: Monday, Aug. 31st, 3 - 8 p.m.
American System of Judging
RULES: New Rule:
1. Please Identify plant name to best of ability on Entry Form (i.e. Crown of Thorns, hanging Airplane plant)
2. Potted and hanging plants must be owned by the exhibitor at least 60 days prior to the opening day of the Fair.
3. Exhibits should be suitably groomed for exhibit and where appropriate, leaves may be moderately polished.
4. Potted plants must have suitable containers. Any questions, call Chairperson.
5. Hanging plants must be ready for hanging. However, plants will be hung based on space available.
6. Exhibitor must be responsible for loading, unloading and placing exhibit. ADA and special assistance given by request.
