In December 1942, War Eagle Field saw
the last class of RAF pilots trained here. The
same year also saw U.S. Army Air Forces
trained at WEF. In 1944, Polaris merged with
Mira Loma Flight Academy.
In August of 1945, after nearly 7,000 pilots
were trained — both RAF and U.S. — its
founder, Maj. C.C. Moseley, announced the
shutdown of the school.
