6. CHALLENGE YOUR PEOPLE TO GIVE!
This will take money! Lots of it! Your people will respond to a clear, compelling vision.
Leading change requires “budget and bandwidth.” Your nancial plan may be the one thing that can limit the impact of your MCI.
With this said, don’t let money hold you back. Often, limited resources force us to think outside of the box. Scarcity produces creativity.
You need to plan the raising of funds for this dream. This may include elements like:
• Meeting with your top givers and in uencers
• Receiving a special o ering for this MCI
• Budgeting for this signi cant moment
7. CREATE A BUZZ (DEVELOP A COMMUNICATION PLAN)
Utilize all available resources to create a buzz within your church and community.
• Utilize social media (Twitter, Facebook, Instagram)
• Create videos that can stir vision and tell stories in your congregation
• Creative signage and branding
• Cast vision during your message
• Do a “Save the Date” three months ahead of time
• Email campaign
• Website updates and information regarding the MCI
• Have every ministry department build excitement within their tribe (children, youth, young adults, small groups, worship, etc.)
8. CROSS THE FINISH LINE!
When the last moment comes, you will feel overwhelmed. You may even feel scared to death.
Pivot on ideas. Adjust things if you need to. No matter what, make sure you cross the nish line
The goal is not always to reach your goal. However, the goal is always to move your church forward. The goal is progress, not perfection.
