              GAZELLE UPDATE
There have been significant ongoing developments in relation to the Gazelle programme.
Our Customer Business Planning process is firmly in place and sales teams are using this to prepare 2021 forecasts which will inform next year’s budgets allowing a bottom up budget build. The new tools are already delivering benefits, for example, sales teams can copy a previous year’s plan, amend and roll over account plans. As the tools embed and we all get used to the specific ways of using the tools, more efficiencies will be realised. We now have a wide range of reports available to support us in the planning cycle like the account plan performance report and promotion changes and promotion comparisons reports with a number of issue led exceptions from these. We really need to use these reports
now to inform our thinking and optimise our efficiencies in the planning workflow.
Value added functions like Scenario Planning and Promotion Evaluation are complete and will become operational in the next two months allowing us to make better investments in our customers’ plans.
Another Gazelle benefit is associated with the integrated business planning function.
The Demand planning team has been working with the sales teams on developing the base for 2021 and ultimately the
‘one number’ that will be the volume forecast used in Supply Planning.
The Gazelle team have switched their focus away from Drinks and are currently working with Agency and BPS businesses to activate the new tools within
these divisions. However, they will ensure complete delivery of anticipated reports to complete the cycle and allow us to drive our Revenue Management principles.
A big thank-you to our Super User team! They have been
busy helping people when they encounter issues in CBP, whether it’s user tips, identifying data amendments to feed into the BOS team or coordinating technical issues to log with the service desk. The team has also been heavily involved in testing and training. Howard Jarret, Charlotte Thickett, Stephen Henrich, Prys Attaway, Katie Weaver, Holly Merrett. Your efforts are greatly appreciated! Anyone who has any issues or concerns, please ensure you speak to your relevant Super User.
