UKPHA Gathering 2018 – September 21st to 23rd, Sovereign Quarter Horses, Cambridgeshire
We are endeavoring to organize an event which is built around a two day training camp followed by a one day show, but is much more than just that. Camp will cost £260 per person for the Friday and Saturday. This will include breakfast and dinner on both days, lunch will be available to purchase in the cafe. Stabling will cost £65 for the duration of camp and show.
If anyone would like to be part of the event with their horse but perhaps you’ve never been in a camp and are nervous about being part of it, you are invited to book your horse into the stables at the same cost and attend each camp day as a spectator for £25 per day.
At scheduled times during the Friday & Saturday we will have short ‘tool box talks’ in the bar of SQH (Sovereign Quarter Horses) covering various areas of interest to our members from equine dentistry, equine psychology as it is relevant to the amature owner/trainer to APHA rule changes and Q&A session with your committee for any issues you may have with paperwork etc.
There will be a party on Saturday night in Sovereign Bar, with DJ. This is FREE to all but dinner with need to be pre-purchased for those not paid into ridden camp. We would love everyone to attend, to sit, eat and socialize and generally have fun.
PAINT & ALL BREED SHOW Sunday 23rd. Including Paint Horse Classes & SQH All Breed Classes. We would hope that everyone who has attended the Gathering will stay on for the show on Sunday.
Whether you are a seasoned exhibitor or not, we want you there !!!
Regular show exhibitors know how much fun the SQH All Breed Shows are. Yes, we won’t deny that doing your best is important to each one of us, but equally so is the taking part, the fun and comradeship in the warm-up arena. You can be nervous and feeling like you shouldn’t be there, like you don’t know what to do, like people will comment on you and your horse...and then someone smiles at you and says you’re doing great, or I love your horses markings, and all the fears float away and you remember how privileged you are to be a paint horse owner and also to be amongst these lovely people, sharing a common interest. Personally I only started showing in 2014 and I was petrified. But now, I love it, it’s a dream come true.
Launch of Gathering 2018, Sovereign Quarter Horses April 8th.
