Morrison drops his gun, falls to his knees as the Rangers
rush over.
They recognize the dying airman and their mistake.
FRANK'S VOICE FROM BEHIND: Police Officer! Drop
your weapons!
In response, the Rangers turn firing 38 rounds per second.
But that's not fast enough for Frank's .45 which blows
them backwards into the open kitchen door.
FRANK: Breathing heavily, stares at the fallen airman and
the bodies in the doorway.
He steps into the kitchen doorway, warily glances inside.
FRANK'S POINT OF VIEW: The giant base kitchen,
apparently deserted. He starts off when a BANGING is
heard. Frank hesitates.
IN THE BASE KITCHEN - NIGHT
GENERAL YEAGER'S FACE: A blur behind the square
frosted refrigerator window. He is BANGING against the
door.
Gun ready, Frank walks towards the refrigerator as
SHOUTS OF SEARCHING AIRMEN are heard from the
compound outside.
AT THE REFRIGERATOR, Frank looks directly into
General Yeager's eyes. Gun ready, he opens the freezer
door.
General Yeager stands among the frozen dead. Frank
looks at the bodies stacked inside.
FRANK:
Jesus, Mary and Joseph.
