Heather is a two-time Emmy award winning journalist with almost two
decades of experience with a national audience. She has been named
one of Atlanta Business Chronicle’s 2020 40 Under Forty and selected
to Leadership Georgia’s class of 2020/2021. She spent the last 14
years at WSB-TV in Atlanta, an ABC affiliate in a Top 10 market. During
this time, she served as anchor and producer for the morning news, as
well as anchor for Bulldogs Game Day, a weekly show that focuses on
all varsity teams at the University of Georgia. She also anchored Sports
Zone Sunday, a sports recap of professional and college teams in the
state of Georgia. Additionally, she anchored and produced Hot Topics,
a weekly news/entertainment show airing nationally. Previously, Heather
worked with Fox Sports South, Turner Sports, NBC Olympics, and the
Late Show with David Letterman.
Recently, Heather has made a pivotal career move to media and public
relations, taking on a role with Chick-fil-a Corporate as Senior Lead
Advisor for New Restaurant PR.
Heather is a dual citizen of the UK and USA, and a former varsity
collegiate athlete (volleyball) at the University of North Carolina at
Chapel Hill. Heather is passionate about ovarian cancer research after
her mom passed away from the disease in 2019. She has since thrown
fundraisers raising more than $200,000 for research.
