 PRAYERS FOR THE WEEK
“Our Father in heaven, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come, your will be done...” Matthew 6:9-10
TO GOD: Father, may my will be aligned with your will. I ask you today to make known your will and give me the strength and courage to say, “Yes, Lord!”
FOR THE CHURCH: Heavenly Father, may the church be seen as “a house of prayer” (Matthew 21:13), seeking the good and pleasing will of God.
FOR THE WORLD: We pray for ministries throughout the world, some underground, courageously seeking to spread the gospel, often suffering persecution for Christ’s sake.
FOR OUR NATION: Father where there is division, hatred, preference and judgementalism may your Holy Spirit work through the church to bring reconciliation, love and grace.
FOR OUR FRIENDS: Father, may we pray once more for the salvation of those who are near and dear to us, starting with...
FOR MYSELF: Your kingdom come and your will be done. Amen.
  PRAYER
Father, please touch lives as Ellie Gage speaks at the Ladies’ Day on 13th. AMEN.
DELVING DEEPER Reflections on Holy Week and Easter With Adam Atkinson, Bishop of Bradwell
Monday 31st March, 10.30am to 3.00pm
Adam will use poetry, prayers and scripture meditations to help us focus on the death and resurrection of Christ. After writing sonnets for the book ‘Who Do You Say I Am?’, he will explore discipleship in today’s world, touching on contemporary themes such as identity, truth telling, violence, abuse, racism, and belonging in relation to being a follower of Jesus.
Adam became Bishop of Bradwell, in the Diocese of Chelmsford, in 2023. He had previously been Archdeacon of Charing Cross and before that was a Parish Priest in East London and Director of Mission Development in the Two Cities area. He trained for ordained ministry at Wycliffe Hall, Oxford and is married to Heather, who is a Vicar in Bethnal Green.
