Transporter Talk No 144
FROM THE EDITORS
A very happy New Year to you all! We hope you had a wonderful time during the festive season! It’s been a busy couple of months; Sophie has been working on the Club’s new Instagram page, which is under the name of ‘vwtype2ownersclub’. We are aiming to use this as a quick means of communication with members and to reach out to those who are interested in joining the Club.
Whilst Sophie has been warm in the house working on social media, Phil has been investigating some problems with Bluebell’s engine (the joys of owning a VW right?). Hopefully these will be sorted before the next issue! Unfortunately these problems meant changing our camping plans as we had booked several nights at Chatsworth in the
Peak District, but decided that the engine was too much of a risk with the cold conditions and treated ourselves to a hotel instead. The Chatsworth campsite is operated by the Caravan Club but can be booked by non- members also and is excellent.
In other news! Phil had a eureka moment – some look for a shining star in December but others look for a shiny hub cap! This wise man found what he had been
looking for – the hub cap to Bluebell’s wheel (which he’d been looking for since it ew o in August!).
If any members have any recommendations for campsites then please let us know, we would like to feature some di erent locations each magazine issue.
We would also love to hear your thoughts on the ‘new look’ Transporter Talk magazine. Remember you can contact us via our Facebook page, Instagram and email.
