Please find above the cover of the official Christmas card for 2018. The photograph of Malvern College by Jan Sedlacek: www.digitlight.co.uk is taken from a drone with the gentle morning sun shining from the East on the school. When one sees a picture of this nature, one must reflect that it is hardly surprising that a journalist, Thalia Thompson, writing in Independent School Parents recently identified Malvern as one of the five most enchanting and beautiful schools in the country. I write principally today to wish you all a Happy Christmas with your families and a fulfilling and a rewarding 2019.
Academic Successes
Congratulations to those who have recently been awarded academic scholarships for the Sixth Form. These are prestigious academic scholarships awarded to those who do not already hold scholarships. The Alan Duff Scholarship is awarded to Ben Chen, the Francis Aston Scholarship (for Science) to Felix Olschewski and the Malvernian Society Scholarship to Charlotte Williams of Newport High School. Honorary Academic Scholarships go to James Francis, Lakshya Joshi and Jacob Perry.
