CHAT FROM THE CHAIR
Well, here we are, half way through 2021!
Special thanks to John Figg, who has decided that the time is right to step down from the T14 Register position, which has been passed to Guy Hartley. Peter Reilly has also signalled his wish to pass the Club Shop over during the year and this will be announced soon.
Please keep feeding your ideas in to us and if you believe you can help in any way, from being a Club Officer, to showing your car, arranging an event or telling us about your experiences, then please make contact with any of us, details on the Committee page.
Best wishes to you all and let’s look forward to being able to get out and enjoy our Karmann Ghia.

Hopefully elsewhere in the magazine there will be an initial report on the Club’s International meeting in Cornwall. Not quite the G7 crowd who were there about 3 weeks prior!
This is a small step on the road(map) back to some degree of normality, even though the lifting of all lockdown restrictions was postponed from June 21st to no later than July 19th.
Whilst some events are scheduled to proceed in the next couple of months it is still quite embryonic, so please keep in touch with
Clive Richardson for latest details.
I can also report that the Club held it’s AGM online in April, after we had to cancel the originally arranged venue due to restrictions on public meetings. This recorded that the Club remains in a strong financial position over the past 12 months, not least due to the sterling efforts of all the Club Officers (who are all volunteers) in these difficult times.

Once we are able, we would like to expand our activity to attend events
at regional and local level and communicating these both before and after. If you are good at banging a drum and making a noise about Karmann Ghia’s either in person or through our various channels, we would like you to get involved.
Please don’t assume that what you can do is already being done by the Club Officers, If you would like to take on the role of Regional Organiser or help in any other way, we would love to hear from you.
You can see our current committee vacancies on our committee page. If the idea of getting involved with the running of your club interests you, contact me using chair@kgoc-gb.org
