Once home and Tango unloaded it was time to give her the first wash of 2021. This attracted
more attention as another chap stopped his Range Rover and praised my VW enthusiasm. He
had owned several air-cooled VW’s while living in America as an Engineer. “I also own a Trabant
but that lives with my family in Hungary”. Expecting the Range Rover owner to laugh at me he instead praised such choice of classic German Automobile as he once lived in Romania for 2 years, working on a large engineering project. He told me that the Trabant was the only car that would start in the harsh Transylvanian winters and get him through deep snow. My folks in Hungary also concur such praise with their Trabants from the past too.
Finally I have been ‘Van-sitting’ for a friend until she can find a good secure garage for her ‘73 Westy. Similar to Tango, the Westy has had one previous family ownership and spent most of her live living ‘Down-Under’.
Indeed today has been a Good Day!

Hi Rick, first of all, my condolences on behalf of the club, it’s committee and members. It sounds as though you have done some fantastic work in looking after the cats and I’m sure Luna will be very happy. Will she get a chance to ride in Tango? Keep driving her and enjoy spreading the happiness it brings to the people you meet on the journey!
