The Gryphons’ Den Launch
On Monday, 13 November, we launched the Gryphons’ Den, a competition where six teams from four different year groups pitched their innovative ideas for a new business. The goal? To secure £750 to kickstart their entrepreneurial ventures. The diversity of ideas was wonderful, ranging from personalised clothing and assistance for the elderly to international food supplies and GCSE revision aids.
I am delighted to report that all the participating pupils exhibited exceptional confidence and attention to detail during their pitches. Their in-depth knowledge and poise during the cross-examination phase showcased their commitment to developing their ideas into profit making ventures.
Out of the six teams, three have emerged victorious and are now set to embark on their entrepreneurial journeys. The winning teams ideas are:
1. An online car wash platform.
2. A local exchange facilitating buying, selling, and sharing anything within the community.
3. A student-focused app for time management and planning.
We are immensely proud of their accomplishments, and we will keep you updated on their progress as they navigate the exciting challenges of entrepreneurship.
