SHOW REPORT
The charity Just Kampers weekend was held over the weekend of the 16th June, which many people will remember for the nationwide heat wave! The VWT2OC was in attendance at JK, Christie, Derek, Val and Malcolm manned the club shop/membership stand and did a fantastic job in the sweltering heat, recruiting several new members.
The club had a generous private camping area, located close to the club stand and more importantly, the various food outlets and entertainment that made the show such a success.
The Splitscreen Ice Cream Company were of course very popular, serving cool ice creams all weekend.
Pizza Pickup had their Split Screen Crew Cab with built in wood red pizza oven, serving fresh and delicious pizzas all weekend, hot work in the heat.
Bark’n’Render were in attendance to serve some fantastic BBQ food and O’s Mobile Co ee helped everyone recover from the night before!
But let’s not forget the JK team who worked tirelessly behind the charity BBQ and knocked out decent grub all weekend, all for charity!
As well as all of the fantastic food, we were entertained by the wonderful voice of the club’s very own Events Manager, Lorna. She did a fantastic job in extremely di cult conditions (I was sweating just eating an ice- cream and watching!), so well done!
We also had a chance to see some interesting cooking displays on Saturday by the Chef Campers, again working in the sun with a BBQ and hot pans, they did an amazing job and impressed attendees with their ideas, knowledge and skills.
