MEMBERSHIP MATTERS
Hi Members,
This is a very busy time for all of us with campers. We have been so lucky with the heat wave this year. We spent ve days in Mother Ivy’s Bay camp site in Cornwall as the heat started and ended the week at The JK Weekend, having a fabulous time socialising with other members. Our newest committee member Lorna (Events Manager) is an extremely talented Jazz singer and entertained people with her gentle jazz and “Carpenters” songs during the day.
JK Weekend was so well supported by everyone that they made over £10,000 for the Cancer charity that they were supporting, well done to everyone who attended and made that possible. Commiserations to all those who left it too late to book camping spots, you missed

a brilliant weekend! Remember next year it is on 9th June, book early or you will miss out. The club gained ten new members that weekend along with others who joined when they got home. I would like to give a very big VW welcome to all of the 39 new members who have joined since the last TT magazine. It was lovely meeting many of our members at the weekend, putting a face to a name is always good.
The next event that we are attending is “Volksweald”, held on 15th and 16th July at Penhurst Place in Kent. Hope to see some of youthere, comeandsay“Hello”.Thegatesopen at 9am on Saturday 15th July. This is a new event and I hope that it will become a welcome addition to the VW calendar.
The children will soon be breaking up for the Summer holidays, so enjoy your summer and try and make good use of your camper van. Britain has some of the best beaches and campsites, all we need is good weather!
