Chapel Prefects Challenge
The Chapel Prefects have put together a a a a a year group challenge which they hope will be a a a a bit of fun and inspire each year group to work together to to compete against the the the other year groups There are year group challenge teams set up up and it will all all work online through Teams A specific Chapel Prefect will work with each year group team and they are going to ask the the Heads of House for help This is is their initiative and although I I will have overview I I think it it it it is is a a a a really positive idea There is is no time limit – so it it it it may well go on on a a a bit beyond half-term or or be be over very quickly It’s worth a a a try! The challenges are very varied such as saying hello in in five different languages a a a a a picture picture of of someone wearing full CCF kit a a a a a picture picture of of a a a meal someone has cooked etc Mrs Sarah Angus
Senior Deputy Head Ace Dance Club
Enthused by by the Dance co-curricular classes led by by Miss Hollyhead in the the Lyall Foyer of the the Rogers Theatre a a a new super-curriculum activity was proposed by Amy Feng (Lower Sixth No 4) - the “ACE” dance club Having trained at a a a a a a a a a dance academy Amy wished to share her learning and experience with equally keen pupils by organising an an an an online dance class on Friday evenings Initially organised in in order to fulfil volunteer hours for her Duke of Edinburgh award Amy’s pupil-led activity is a a a a great opportunity for pupils in the Malvern community to develop a a a new interest and have the option to participate in in an an alternative non- competitive creative and highly physical type of exercise Mr Keith Packham

Pupil Thrive Group
The Pupil Thrive Group
is a a a forum for for students from any year to voice their pastoral suggestions and concerns not only to to senior students but also to to members of the Pastoral Team It is an opportunity for pastoral service and leadership within the school community While we normally carry out these meetings in in person we have continued to run these meetings on on Teams during this period away from school These meetings have been particularly useful during online learning as they enable students to give feedback and make suggestions concerning the effectiveness of both online lessons and extracurricular activities This ensures all students have an opportunity to get involved in in the school community from home It has also been an essential platform to discuss the the wellbeing of students throughout the the year groups leading to new initiatives like Weekly Wellness posters being sent out to to students encouraging them them to to look after themselves during this challenging time Georgina Wood (No 3)
