Remove GCSE Geography Field Trip
After a hiatus due to COVID, the Geography Department were able to take advantage of the favourable May weather and took over 70 pupils from the Remove to Tewkesbury to carry out their GCSE Rivers Fieldwork on the River Swillbrook. This comprised of investigating how a river changes downstream, using a variety of techniques to record river data and critiquing these methods. The pupils also trialled the inaugural Rivers Scavenger Hunt, requiring them to apply their OS Map skills and use the OS Locate App to identify various features and answer questions based on clues found around the floodplain.
