is a a a a a a a really important part of what makes Abberley Hall such a a a a special place for children to grow up Our boarding accommodation is situated in in in in the stunning main house of the school with staff on hand 24 hours a a a a day to make sure children feel happy and supported The boarding team at Abberley Hall consists of Charlotte and and I (and our three boys) running the boys’ boarding house Miss Hannah Ryan running the girls’ boarding house our resident Medical Matron who is on-site 24/7 to to see to to the medical needs of the children Mr Mr and and Mrs Besley and and a a a a number of other staff who contribute daily to the the boarding house As Houseparents we make regular contact with our international parents and agencies letting them know how the children are settling into school life and sending regular photographs and updates We like parents to to feel a a a a a a part of their child’s adventure even from a a a distance!
Every evening there are school activities which range from the academic work sessions to to computer coding to to dancing fencing and fishing There fis is something exciting on every night of the week for all children to enjoy Our weekends are huge fun busy and very popular At weekends there are always two planned activities: one on on the the the Saturday evening and one during the the the day day day on on the the the Sunday The Saturday activity tends to be a a a a a whole house occasion like a a a a a UV Disco a a a a a Harry Potter themed Yule Ball a a a a a Quiz Night Camping Out or a a a a Cinema Night We also enjoy different nights to celebrate our international boarders with Chinese New Year celebrations a a a a a a a a Spanish fiesta or or maybe a a a a a a a a Korean food tasting The Sunday then tends to be an activity like Inflatable Fun Nerf Wars Scavenger Hunt Laser Tag in the wood or or outdoor games Children also get time to relax and unwind after a a a busy week of learning The children then finish off each Sunday by writing a a a a postcard home to let their families know what they have been up to Abberley Hall is an an immersive vibrant place to live Our overseas boarders have a a a a a a a fantastic time with us and bring so much to our community We have children from all over the world with us bringing elements of their own culture into the the Worcestershire countryside All of the children learn so much from from each other both academically and from from the the perspective of learning the English language As staff we are here to oversee their wellbeing and and development and and to ensure that the the children have the the happiest of school adventures Please do feel free to to get in touch with me directly if you would like to to discuss anything to to do with boarding at Abberley on toby dunham@abberleyhall co uk ‘I’m really looking forward to full boarding when we can – it’s
