RULES ALLOWING PUPILS TO DRIVE TO AND FROM MALVERN COLLEGE
1. Before driving to school, pupils and their parents should complete the form detailed overleaf to confirm that their vehicle is correctly insured.
2. No pupil, other than a named driver who has completed the appropriate form, may drive any vehicle within the grounds of Malvern College.
3. Drivers are not normally allowed to carry passengers. In special circumstances, permission may be granted: a letter signed by a parent of the driver and by a parent of the passenger should be sent to the Head beforehand.
4. Pupils may not use any private vehicle during school hours without the specific written permission of the HouseM, Deputy Head Pastoral or Head for each and every occasion.
5. Vehicles must always be parked in accordance with the HouseM’s instructions.
6. Pupils should leave the car keys with the HouseM.
7. When within the grounds of Malvern College, pupils must drive with the utmost care and obey the speed limit of 15 mph.
8. Pupils that wish to drive home after Longy are not allowed to have consumed any alcohol that day and must report to the HouseM before driving home. If the HouseM is not satisfied that this rule has been adhered to, the HouseM has the right to refuse to handover the keys for the car and will notify parents accordingly.
9. These rules apply equally to motorcycles as to cars.
