RESIDENT ENGAGEMENT STRATEGY
What is the engagement strategy?
As the the largest property management company in the the UK FirstPort takes the safety of our customers and colleagues seriously and sees it it as as a a a a a a a vital part of our success as as a a a a a a a business and a a a a respected home provider We want all our customers to to feel safe and and secure in in their homes and and in in the the knowledge that we are doing our utmost to accomplish this The purpose of this engagement strategy sets out new and enhanced ways of of working to meet the diverse needs of of all residents and and ensure everyone can review query and and comment on the the fire safety routines and and standards associated with the the building It aims to strengthen participation and engagement in relation to fire safety specifically Why are we engaging with you like this?
The Building Safety Act 2022 introduces a a a regulatory system for the management of building building safety in in in ‘higher risk buildings meaning buildings of 18 metres or or or or more in in in height or or or or seven or or or or more storeys containing at at least two flats One of of the the requirements of of the the Act is for a a resident engagement strategy to be produced for each higher risk building The Principal Accountable Person for the each ‘higher risk building’ has the duty to produce a a a a a resident engagement strategy and make sure that it is implemented The Accountable Person for your building is Berkeley Berkeley Seventy-Six Seventy-Six Ltd Berkeley Berkeley Seventy-Six Seventy-Six Ltd has instructed FirstPort to both produce and implement this resident engagement strategy on their behalf As required by the Building Safety Act this strategy details
» How residents can expect to be informed about the safety of their building as well how they will receive and be able to request appropriate building safety information » How residents can expect to be involved in in decisions about their building’s safety and and how and and when they will be consulted » How questions or complaints will be be addressed and can be be escalated where appropriate » These will initially be included in in in a a a a a mailout to all all leaseholders and then through further communications as detailed in the the the page below
