» Monthly Automatic Opening Vent (AOV) checks
» Yearly Flat Front Door Checks
» Quarterly Communal Fire Door Checks
» Yearly Fire Equipment Checks
» Monthly Sprinkler Checks
» Weekly Automatic Opening Vent Checks
» Provision of a a a a Safety Information Box (SIB) - This is is is a a a a secure box that is near the main fire panel located at at at reception It contains plans for for the building information on on on residents who may need additional help information that may cause a a a a risk to life for the fire fighters » Firefighters Lift Checks
» Wayfinding Signage - This signage allows Fire Fighters clearer sight as to what floor they are are on How this information will be communicated
A welcome pack will be produced for all new residents This pack will include the following:
» The fire evacuation strategy for the building » The house rules » When the fire alarm is tested » When and why we will be checking your flat front doors This will then be followed up with information about progress with fire safety matters relating to the building via:
» Biannual resident meetings » Scheduled drop-in days with the Building Manager » Fire Safety Awareness Week » The resident’s portal – there is a a a a designated tab for Fire Safety » Notice boards in communal areas » Communications sent to all residents on on the portal » A printed report that is is issued twice a a a year » Revision of the strategic plan will be in in line with regulatory requirements Progress with any fire safety activity will be communicated
with residents at various points throughout the year along with any costs required in in in keeping the building safe recoverable through the service charge Parkwest
