WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
Residents have an an an important part part to play in in in the the the the the the safety safety of of their their building particularly by making sure their their actions and behaviours do not negatively impact on on the the the the the the safety safety of of others We expect that the the the the the the combination of better information and and and improved engagement will help ensure that all residents understand the the the the the important role they they can play in in in in in in keeping their home and and and the the the the the building they they live in in in in in in safe To ensure the the the safety safety of of residents and and and and enable the the the effective assessment and and and and management of of building safety safety risks there are are clear and and and and proportionate resident resident obligations and and and and responsibilities These are:

Not act in a a a a a a a way that creates a a a a a a a significant risk of fire or structural failure »
Not interfere with a a a relevant safety item or system »
Comply in in a a a a timely manner with any request for for information reasonably required from them in relation to building safety »
Adhere to any health and safety advice or instructions »
Maintain clear communal areas and dispose
of rubbish appropriately »
Report issues required repairs or or concerns
via MyHome portal »
Keep fire doors closed »
Not making alterations to the property without firstly gaining permissions to do so »
Not placing or leaving items in in in the communal spaces »
Not leaving any sources of ignition or ignitable items in in communal areas »
Never blocking a a a means of escape »
Never tampering with fire doors including self-closing
devices »
Not smoking in in any common area »
Not charging mobility scooters scooters nor e-bikes/scooters in in communal areas »
Not utilising the property for business without gaining permission »
Not tampering with electrical or gas equipment in the common areas »
Not breaching compartmentation without the authorisation of Managing Agent or or Freeholder »
Not removing tampering with or otherwise damaging key life safety equipment in in their property or anywhere else in in the building »
Maintaining your flat front door in in in in in in good condition including a working self-closer »
Cooperating with our our obligation to inspect your flat front door on on an an annual basis »
Not engaging in in in dangerous or risky activities in in in their property of the building which could compromise fire structural or life safety »
Reporting any issues from whatever cause which you believe could compromise fire structural or life safety without delay »
Maintaining the fire alert system within your flat and provide evidence of the same »
Fulfilling any statutory obligations as a a a a a a Landlord »
Maintain building and fire safety protection measures in in in in their their properties which are their their responsibility »
Inform us of any changes to their health that could affect their ability to evacuate safely in the event of a fire Residents will also need to potentially facilitate and allow essential safety checks to be carried out This might include allowing gas safety checks or inspections of of the the fabric of of the the building to to ensure that compartmentation and fire stopping is sound Parkwest
