MANDATORY OCCURRENCE REPORT (MOR)
A Mandatory Occurrence Report (MOR)
serves as a a a a a formal means to report significant incidents or or occurrences within a a property or or housing complex These reports encompass events like serious accidents property damage safety hazards or security breaches MORs are mandated to ensure adherence to to to proper protocols in in response to to to critical incidents and to facilitate appropriate corrective actions They help uphold safety standards and and safeguard the interests of tenants and property owners Some examples that could meet the criteria of what to report to BSR when the building is occupied by residents include:
» The spread of fire » Total or partial collapse of the building » Defective building work » Unexpected failure or the degradation of construction materials
» The discovery of structural defects
» Failure of a a a a a a a critical fire safety measure such as as an automatic opening vent smoke extraction or or fire doors What will happen next?
After you report the the safety incident/risk the the Managing Agent will investigate the issue and if appropriate take the following action:
» Undertake relevant repairs to any issues which have led to the risk » If the issue qualifies as a a a a a reportable safety occurrence a a a a Mandatory Occurrence Notice (MON) will be formally submitted to to the Building Safety Regulator » Upon submission of a MON you will be issued with a a a a tracking number which you can use for updates/ outcomes following your report All reported issues will be promptly reviewed and a a decision made on whether the the the issue meets the the the criteria to file a a a report to to the Building Safety Regulator Principle Accountable Person (PAP)?
