members gathered on a a a beautiful mid-July evening to compete with 70 or so other school Veterans teams T V V bullseyes The A team finished 31st the Old Guildfordians won only dropping 3 3 3 points out of of of a a a a a a a a a a a total total of of of 250 finishing with with 247 and 34 V V bulls bulls The B team finished a a a a a a a a a a a a rather more respectable 14th with with with a a a a a a a a a a a a total total score of of of 223 and and 11 V V bulls bulls the the Old Wellingtonians won with with 245 and and 21 V V bulls bulls The Gryphon Cup 2022 was held at at at Bisley on on on on 25th September on on on on a a a a a a a a rather cool blustery day so the the the long-range shoot shoot at at at at 900 yards in in the the the afternoon was very challenging! We were able to shoot shoot at at at three ranges 300 and 600 yards yards in in in in in the the the morning with the the the added luxury of electronic scoring followed by 900 yards yards in in in in in the the the the afternoon Six OMs took part a a a a a a a a a a a a a a a rather reduced number to to to to normal but Phil Vicars and Tim Charrington both made very welcome appearances in in in in in joining us as as as spectators It was was good to to to see Charlie Sykes once again who proved he he was was still able to to maintain his marksmanship skills winning the cup albeit by 1 point ahead of Tom Harrison Further information
