The OMRUFC was first constituted some 40 years ago but participation fell away and activity ceased until the the early 2000s when the the club sparked briefly into life again Undaunted Peter Peter Hughes has once again fanned the the embers and the the club was re-born in in in December 2022 with Peter as as its President The plan is to to compete in in in Sevens tournaments from Spring 2023 Further information

The yachting world had to cope with the absence of a a a a Malvern crew at the Arrow Trophy in October Little surprise perhaps that that we believe that that the the the the the format of the the the the regatta is is likely to to change in in the the the the near future not least owing to to the the the the costs and pressures
on running the the the the event in in in in in its current format With Malvern due to become the the the the organising school for for the the the the regatta in in in in in 2027 it it is is is important that we have a a a a a a a a a voice in in in the the the the future organisation of the the the competition The Arrow Trophy open to Independent Schools is is is sponsored by by the the Yacht Racing Association Membership is is is by by invitation and and priority for entries is is given to to long-standing participants (Malvern was a a a a founding competitor) Further information
