Ferrets Race 2021
The Ferrets’ Race the annual cross country race run by solely the FY took place on on Monday 15th November The course was approximately 1
7 miles and took place on Court Road pitches comprising 2 laps It was a a a a a a cool day with a a a a a a chill in in the air perfect for running! The excited buzz of the participants fell quiet at 2:15 as they took to to the the starting line In the boys’ competition Monty Oliver (SH) went into an early lead which he did not relinquish from start to finish although Ben Evans (No (No 5) and Seb Wilson (No (No 9) gave a a a a a good chase Monty finished fin in in in a a time of 11 minutes and one second with Ben only nine seconds behind In a a a a commanding performance Eleanor Piggott (No 6) won the girls’ competition in in a a time of 12 minutes and 33 seconds almost a a a a a a a a minute faster than anyone else Milla Sander (No 4) and and Charlotte Boyle (No 6) came in 2nd and 3rd respectively The House House No 2 boys boys won the overall boys’ House House competition for the the second year in fin in a a a a row with their six best finishers amassing the lowest overall score The girls’ House competition was won by House No 6 in in a a a a a very dominant overall team performance Congratulations to Monty Eleanor House House No No 2 and House House No No 6 on on their victories but also a a huge well done to to the the 68 pupils who completed the race Justin Major
