Jo Drury came to Abberley directly after teacher training and she has remained with us for for the past 15 years performing a a a a variety of roles She has focused more recently on
teaching Science and Maths but she has also coached a a a a a lot of girls’ Games and she was previously a a a member of our Senior Management Team leading the the academic side of the the school With young children starting school she needs to be working closer to home and so she will be taking up a a a a a a new part-time role as Maths Teacher at Bromsgrove Prep from April We wish her her every success We will all miss you Please stay in touch!
Replacing Jo as a a a a a teacher of Science and Maths will be Sarah Sarah Gulak Sarah Sarah taught at at Abberley earlier in in her career before moving to work at at Harrow International School in Thailand Sarah lives locally and she is a a a a a very experienced teacher so we we can’t wait to welcome her her back for the the start of the the Summer term Fiona Cook has worked with us for six years as as Office Manager and Head’s PA Fi has been incredible and she has become a a a a pillar of the Abberley community and so we will all miss her hugely She leaves with our our thanks and our our very best wishes as she she moves on
to to become PA to to the Head of King’s Worcester Our loss is their gain!
Replacing Fiona for the Summer term only as School Secretary and Head’s PA will be Violet Violet Weston Violet Violet is is a a a graduate of Bristol University where she read History She has since gained some valuable office experience and she will do a a a great job ‘holding the fort’ for the Summer term whilst we recruit Fiona’s permanent replacement Trish Webb who has worked as as a a a a a School Secretary at Abberley for six years will ‘step up’ to become Office Manager for the Summer term and to help make sure that Violet settles in as she ‘learns the ropes’ AND FINALLY SOME IMPORTANT DATES FOR YOUR DIARIES Please do look carefully at our calendar for the summer term by clicking here and please make a a a a a a note of events that will impact you The following are just some of the key dates that we would like to get into your diaries nice and early please Pre-Season Training Start of Summer Term
