Energy, Environmental & Waste
We are committed to the principles of energy conservation and supporting our clients in meeting CSR objectives; your goals will be infused into the teams responsible for delivering your service.
Our environmental management systems are based on organisational, contractual, legislative and regulatory requirements and have been designed to systematically control and improve our environmental performance.
Through effective building management and smarter ways of working we significantly complement and enhance energy consumption reduction methods. Our approach to energy management is based on the following broad principles:
• Providing a cost effective and scalable maintenance solution that focuses around energy management
• Working in partnership with clients to develop a strong energy focused strategy
• A ‘Remote Monitoring System’ that records energy consumption
• Engagement with site-based staff to encourage energy
conservation
• Implementation of sustainable and best practice procurement
of materials in line with environmental policy, including the use
of energy efficient and long-life lighting etc
• Intelligent and optimum utilisation of BEMS Systems
• Power Factor correction and efficient controls
Our comprehensive waste management process, which complies with the Environmental Permitting Regulations, is supported by
a comprehensive suite of environmental policies including a waste management policy which drives to reduce waste and maximise recycling.
Asset Management & Projects
We support clients with a full range of services, whether building a new facility, undertaking a refurbishment or commissioning an upgrade of existing systems. Our Engineers, CAD Technicians, Space Planners and Consultants are available to ensure a high quality, cost effective end-to-end solution.
Mobilisation & Recruitment
A dedicated and experienced team will ensure continuity while transferring any existing services, staff and other resources. We will ensure that all services are delivered in accordance with client needs during the on-boarding process while any service transformation elements are put in place.
In 2018 we successfully transferred 150+ team members into our company. We are experienced and knowledgeable in this crucial activity ensuring continuity of service delivery. We have in-house specialists to support the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 (TUPE) process who collectively have completed over 4000 transfers throughout their careers.
When recruiting for members of our Facilities Management Teams we want to make sure we are looking at the best talent both inside and outside of the facilities management industry. We utilise an aptitude and attitude skills based assessment process for shortlisting and do not focus on direct experience when shortlisting talent.
Health, Safety and Compliance Management
Keeping buildings safe is of fundamental importance to us, not least for the protection of our own staff, our clients’ staff and their guests.
Our health & safety management systems are certified by a UKAS accreditation body to OHSAS 18001. This ensures we are operating within legal requirements, maintaining best practice, and our systems are fully integrated into our services.
We employ specialist health and safety advisors to support our delivery teams and are qualified to complete fire risk assessments in line with The Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005.
