School Values
As I have said, Abberley pupils show so many qualities and they are instilled with excellent manners and values. I have been discussing values in my weekly assemblies and we have, as a school, focused on the importance of kindness and gratitude. I have set the school community the task of discussing and deciding on a set of core-values that we would like to focus on as a community and to place at the centre of all that we do. Children have thrown themselves into this and have come up with excellent ideas such as kindness, courage, forgiveness, respect and joy.
Our Year So Far in Photos
Decisions will be made next half of term and we will then
go about the challenging task of trying to weave our chosen values through the fabric of our lives at school and, of course,
to ensure that we model these values as adults. 8
Values Based Education is a well-respected educational movement and it has had a profound and positive impact on schools throughout the world.
