ABBERLEY ADVENTURES 2 ABBERLEY ADVENTURES Covid Update
We had hoped to to be able to to collapse our five school bubbles after Half Term but in in the the end we had to continue with them throughout the the term due to to the the emergence of new variants We continued to to maintain all other precautions as well – regular LFD testing for senior pupils and and staff regular hand-washing one-way systems careful ventilation of rooms social distancing where possible etc We did revert back to staff remaining in in in in their own regular teaching rooms and children moving around the school This felt very positive and staff were delighted to have their own regular teaching bases again We began to to gather the the the whole school together outside for Morning Assembly and other events This worked well with our bubbles carefully separated It was lovely to to come together as as a a a a a a whole school again for the first time since March 2020 I am delighted that we got through the whole year without any known cases of covid within our staff or pupil body I suspect that this was thanks to to to careful adherence to to to our our precautionary measures to to to our our rural location and also thanks to very good luck I am extremely hopeful that we will be able to collapse our bubbles next term invite parents back into the buildings and start to to learn to to live with covid The newspapers seem to to be indicating that restrictions for schools will be lifted from 19th July but as we know things change We will watch developments with interest over the coming six weeks and I will write in in late August with an an update Life in the Pre-Prep
As you know our Pre-Prep
