Acknowledgements
We would like to acknowledge that much of the work for
this project was done at Renison University College,
which is located on the traditional territory of the
Attawandaron (also known as Neutral), Anishinaabe, and
Haudenosaunee peoples, which is situated on the
Haldimand Tract, the land promised to the Six Nations
that includes ten kilometres on each side of the Grand
River.
We would like to thank the University of Waterloo,
Renison University College and the Woodland Cultural
Center for their support with this project.
Special thanks to Wendy Fletcher, Alicia Kroem and
Franz Stapelberg for their contributions and gracious
support.
We are incredibly grateful and thankful for Gary— his
passion, courage and openness made all of this possible.
We hope that his story continues to shed light on a dark
part of Canadian history to pave a new path forward
towards reconciliation.
