Athabasca River Basin.

Development of an open access repository to support
research on Open Educational Resources.

o Synergies E-Journal projects (2010) $800,000. Support open
access journal development and scholarly communication
using PKP-OJS platform.
MOBILE LEARNING PROJECTS
o VinUniversity Teaching Innovation Grant (2023) $1,000. The
effectiveness of using mobile technology to facilitate
anytime, anywhere information literacy training: Mobile
Information Literacy project.
o MCR grant with Dr. Mohamed Ally (2011) $6000. The E-Book
Reader: Affordances of Mobile Technology for the Needs of
Senior Users. Research project to connect older adults to the
Internet world using e-book reader.
o Canadian Foundation of Innovation grants (2011) $ 450,000.
Conducted research and launched pilot projects to facilitate
mobile language and workplace training.
o APP Development Projects (2011) $5,000. Pilot projects aimed
at learning how to produce usable apps for education,
showing that apps can be produced in-house at low cost.
o AVPR Grant (2011) $5000. Several pilot projects to investigate
app development for AU and to build capacity in that area.
o CMNS 610 app pilot (2011) $8,000. Development of a
Canadian film app for students in a graduate course.
o Mobile Health and Wellness app (2011) $6000. Project to
support mobile wellness and health.
o Edmonton Mennonite Centre (2012) $5000. App
development for Workplace Language for Accountants and
established an MOU umbrella for future activities.
o Autism App (2012) $5000. Development of an app for a
course aimed at teachers of autistic children.
