Introduction

The mission of the Lusi Wong Library is to promote success in learning, teaching, and research by
providing quality learning resources and services to students, faculty, staff, and researchers. It offers a
vibrant environment to foster information access and information literacy skills, empowering everyone
to achieve greater success in study and career.

In pursuit of this mission, the Library’s goals for 2015/2016 were to actively support the learning,
teaching and research of the Renison learning community and provide leadership in key areas such as
digital scholarly communicatons, open access, information literacy instruction, mobile learning,
collection development, digital archive initiatives, academic integrity, and support of the faculty’s
research activities. The Library serves as an important connection to the learning community and
continues to meet the needs of our students, faculty, and staff. The Library is also committed to
supporting Renison University College in achieving its mission.

The Lusi Wong Library is a well-established unit where students, faculty, and staff using the Library
report high levels of satisfaction. In a Renison Residence Survey conducted in Fall 2016, the Library
received the top score among the Renison Residence Facilities for the excellence of its information
services and study environment (84%).

The Lusi Wong Library strives to focus its efforts and expertise on providing cutting-edge, forward-
looking support for teaching, learning, and research at Renison University College. The following report
presents accomplishments in the 2016/2017 fiscal year.

The Library would like to thank the Renison Board, administration, and staff who provide continual
support and encouragement.
