ORIENTATIONS AND WORKSHOPS

In 2016-2017, Tony Tin, the Director of Library and Information Services, offered orientations and
workshops to Renison staff, faculty, and students, which included an introduction to library services
and facilities as well as instruction in information literacy skills.

The Library developed a research mentorship program to provide 45-minute one-to-one instruction in
information and research skills to Renison students, resulting in a high level of quality interaction
between the librarian and students.

The Library introduced an “Ask a Librarian” service for online courses to promote information literacy
instruction, contributing to positive student learning outcomes and academic fluency.
