TECHNOLOGY DEPARTMENT
9th Grade: 10th Grade: learn the fundamentals of digital imaging including
Graphic Arts 1 Graphic Arts 1 raster and vector images and the various file types
Graphic Arts 2 Graphic Arts 2 associated with each. The students will also learn
Industrial Design 1 Advanced Graphic Arts the principles and elements of design. The students
Industrial Design 2 Industrial Design 1 will apply their knowledge of digital imaging and
Engineering Drawing 1 Industrial Design 2 design principles by creating and editing various
Engineering Drawing 2 Advanced Woods designs on the computer. The students will
Digital Video complete lab projects in each of the following areas:
Production 1 Technology computer design using PhotoShop, screen-printing,
Advanced Digital Video Engineering Drawing 1 and digital video. The class is primarily “hands-on”
Engineering Drawing 2 in a laboratory setting, but the students are required
Production Digital Video to pass certain tests before working in the lab.
Motion Graphics -

Production GRAPHIC ARTS II
Motion Graphics -
(1 semester, ½ credit, meets HHS fine art
After Effects requirement, Grades 9-12)
11th Grade: 12th Grade: The Graphic Arts II course will expand on the
Graphic Arts 1 Graphic Arts 1 knowledge gained in Graphics Arts I. The students
Graphic Arts 2 Graphic Arts 2 will further their knowledge in digital imaging and
Advanced Graphic Arts Advanced Graphic Arts computer design. Students will also learn to create
Industrial Design 1 Industrial Design 1 computer illustrations using Adobe Illustrator. The
Industrial Design 2 Industrial Design 2 students will complete advanced projects in the
Advanced Woods Advanced Woods following areas: Computer Design using PhotoShop
and Illustrator, screen-printing, and digital video.
Technology Technology Students will also be given a choice as to which areas
Engineering Drawing 1 Engineering Drawing 1 they would like to concentrate their studies. The
Engineering Drawing 2 Engineering Drawing 2 class is primarily “hands-on” in a laboratory setting,
