HUDSON CITY SCHOOL DISTRICT
SUMMIT COUNTY, OHIO
MANAGEMENT’S DISCUSSION AND ANALYSIS
FOR THE FISCAL YEAR ENDED JUNE 30, 2016
(UNAUDITED)
The increase in assets for the governmental activities can primarily be attributed to an increase in cash and investments as
the District’s revenues exceeded expenses during the year. Liabilities and deferred inflows of resources for governmental
activities totaled $161,784,112; of this amount $112,868,265 or 69.76% is long-term liabilities. The increase in liabilities
is primarily due to a significant increase in the net pension liability which was offset by a decrease in deferred inflows of
resources related to pensions.
The graphs below present the District’s governmental and business-type assets, deferred outflows of resources, liabilities,
deferred inflows of resources and net position at June 30, 2016 and June 30, 2015.
