GOAL 4: INTERNAL COMMUNICATION

To maintain open and collaborative two-way communication among students, staff,
administrators and the Board.

 OBJECTIVES:

  1. Utilize technology to provide efficient two-way communication.
  2. Continue visibility emphasis on leadership teams at all levels (students-staff and staff-admin).
  3. Continue to build an internal communications plan with feedback from staff and students.
  4. Create and refine opportunities for vertical articulation between buildings regarding students transitioning

     from one building to the next.

GOAL 5: EXTERNAL COMMUNICATION

To advocate for education and engage Hudson residents, parents, alumni and stakeholders
with timely, concise, and accurate information regarding the Hudson City School District.

 OBJECTIVES:

  1. Broadcast consistent information about the district and celebrate growth, learning, challenges,
     and opportunities.

  2. Provide two-way communications for community feedback (i.e., survey, polling, focus groups).
  3. Provide training and support to staff to communicate to the external community (i.e., lunch and

     learn/provide consistent communication and accountability).
  4. Identify and utilize existing organizations/teachers to advocate for our students.
  5. Develop outreach to alumni.
  6. Participate in legislative affairs to advocate for the best interest of the Hudson City School District

     and its students.
  7. Engage the Hudson Hub as a primary communication tool.

GOAL 6: FACILITIES

To provide our students, staff, and community members with financially responsible and
efficient facilities that are safe, secure, and properly equipped for 21st-Century learning
opportunities.

 OBJECTIVES:

  1. Develop short-term and long-term facilities plan.
  2. Research best practice to design facilities for maximum student interaction, movement, and learning.
  3. Ensure technology infrastructure supports 21st-Century learning.
  4. Investigate and utilize the going green initiative.
  5. Work with city officials to develop a plan to relocate the bus garage in a cost neutral manner to an

     acceptable location.
