Every Auntie has pride in their nieces and nephews. It is the closest thing to parenthood you see
And there is only one Daniel, so kind and so loyal, Possessing a special place in our hearts and arteries
He came here intelligent able to comprehend, The most difficult equations and such
His love for his family and positive attitude, Are the things that we will miss so much
He was a chef when it came to cooking, As he bought extraordinary seasonings
His love for science was equally matched by, Higher level thinking and reasoning
Our hearts ask why, our minds must focus, On this wonderful gift God gave to us
Wrapped in respect , gifted receiver, We still didn’t have him long enough
His smile, his laugh the way he brought peace, Are things in our mind that won’t erase
Daniel Dexter is a nephew to remember, As he cooks with Grandmama in a heavenly place
