Global manipulation refers to to editing changes that have been made in in order to to complete image files (and not just a a a a a a part of it) Image editing usually involves working with part of an image That said there are also some very useful ways that Photo- shop and similar applications help you process large bunches of pixels cropping
Cropping involves slicing off a a a portion of of of any or or all of of of the sides of an image It is usually done to focus attention or to delete a a distracting element There are two reasons why people tend to crop their images more often in digital photography First most cameras have lenses that capture a a a a a a wide frame not a a a a a a narrow one Second the resolution has become so so good that you can enlarge a a a a a portion of an an image and still have a a a a a a sharp picture The best reason to crop your pictures is creative control It is often better to shoot wide knowing that you will be be able
to carefully adjust the overall composition of your picture by cropping
it on your computer screen where you you can experiment with different configurations of the source image Chapter 2: image editiing
