STAFF MEETINGS
All Day Camp staff must attend the weekly staff meeting. These meetings are held at the Steiner Building, 24001 Joy Blvd., 48036 on Monday mornings at 7:00am. You are paid for attending these meetings and are expected to be on time, prepared and in uniform. Tardies are assessed at these meetings, if you are late.
Checklist of things to bring to every staff meeting:
 Your handbook & a pen or pencil.
 Supplies from the previous week - labeled with site name & drop off inside the pole barnS
 A completed newsletter and a color coded lesson plan with labels (double sided copies) for your Supervisor.
 Permission slips for any approved movies or other off site activities must be submitted with your lesson plan the
week they occur so that copies can be made.
 Employee of the Week nominations
 A Pride Point each week – the team should decide what this will be in advance – a different staffer should be
responsible for this each week
 Completed, current payroll sheet – do not fill out during the meeting
Checklist of things to take with you from the staff meeting:
 Your newsletters and lesson plans and any special permission slips
 New rosters, if needed, and any site handouts (check counter at sign in)
 New information on upcoming events
 Supply request items (Please check to make sure that you received all the items requested for example: candy, Kool-
Aid, bandages, ice packs, etc.)
 Extra blank forms and payroll sheets
 Your site’s weekly evaluation – from your Supervisor
There is no staff meeting on Monday, June 25. Report directly to the site at the start of your shift. (One person from each site must report to the office at 8:00 am to pick up rosters & t-shirts).
Blank copies of the lesson plan will be included in the DropBox.
Both the lesson plan and newsletter (first draft) are due in Dropbox by 8:00am each Wednesday. Drafts must be labeled (i.e. activity type, who is leading) and color coded. Corrected copies will be returned to your site by 3:00pm on Wednesday. Final, corrected copies must be submitted to the DropBox by 8:00am each Thursday for printing on Friday.
When you save the file, you MUST use the following labels
Newsletters - Yoursitename.nl.wk# (example - Office.nl.wk1)
Lesson Plan - Yoursitename.lp.wk# (example -Office.lp.wk3) A few pointers -
Use .jpg files when adding pictures to your document
Add initials of staff member to title of activity
Open the document from the DropBox (once it has been saved) to make sure it has been saved correctly.
